How Cyberpunk 2077 weapons are classified
Every weapon in Cyberpunk 2077 belongs to one of six evolutions, and the evolution decides how a weapon behaves rather than how hard it hits. Power weapons ricochet bullets off surfaces, Tech weapons can be charged to release a powerful shot, and Smart weapons home in on targets with self-guided micro-projectiles. Blade, Blunt and Throwable cover the melee and thrown half of the list.
The 181 weapons listed here are split again by class: handguns, revolvers, submachine guns, assault rifles, precision rifles, sniper rifles, shotguns, light and heavy machine guns, katanas, knives, machetes, one and two-handed clubs, hammers, axes and the chainsword. Class matters because Cyberpunk 2077 perks in Reflexes, Body and Cool are written for a weapon class rather than a single gun.
Manufacturer is listed on every entry as well. Militech, Arasaka, Tsunami, Techtronika, Constitutional Arms, Malorian, Nokota, Kang Tao, Darra Polytechnic, Rostovic, Budget Arms and Midnight Arms each build to a recognisable pattern, so the maker is usually a fair guess at how a Cyberpunk 2077 weapon will feel before you read the numbers.
Iconic weapons and tier scaling in Cyberpunk 2077
104 of these weapons are iconic. An iconic weapon in Cyberpunk 2077 carries a unique ability that no base version of the same gun rolls, and each weapon page here lists that ability in full alongside how the weapon is acquired, whether that is a quest reward, a fixed world drop or a vendor.
Damage is not a single number, because a Cyberpunk 2077 weapon scales with its tier. Every entry carries the DPS multiplier for tier 1 through tier 5, plus the 5+ and 5++ steps that iconic upgrades reach, so an early pistol and a fully upgraded one can be compared directly. Fire rate, magazine size, reload time, effective range, headshot multiplier, crit chance, crit damage, armor penetration and the attachment and mod slots are listed with them.
